When working with a client to develop a new logo, our agency proposed an interesting design. I didn't like it. To get a second opinion, I used SenseCheck. I quickly received feedback that confirmed my concerns. I was able to quickly convince the client that a refreshed version of the existing logo was a better option.
I received my Sense Check and it struck a few nerves, which was great as it leads to my improvement. Important questions were asked by Sense Check professionals. It helps to receive non-biased feedback in marketing.
The feedback was hugely beneficial in understanding how to improve engagement. I can report that the emails after our sense check got 46% open rate compared with 36% before, and the response rate TRIPLED to 3%. A fantastic first experience with your service. Thank you.
Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees and it's so hard to 'forget' everything that Joe Public doesn't know about your brand already. 5 pairs of eyes that have been there, seen it and made money from it really adds confidence before you press publish.
I received feedback on my collateral and I am delighted with the insights. Really gave me food for thought and I’ll be back for more. I’ve left some feedback and given 5 stars. I’ll be using your service again!
I found the review process pretty seamless and the tool really straightforward and easy to use. It's interesting to comment on others' ideas and I think Sensecheck meets a latent need for small businesses to get honest feedback.
Incredibly powerful and insightful.
I found it really annoying…I prickled at the comments. But……… that prickling led to thinking which led to action. So was it useful?? Damn right it was useful…would I use it again..yes, depending on the cost but yes, absolutely.
It was nice to be able to get some unbiased opinions from talented peers. Each person sent our campaign offered constructive opinions / changes and the final campaign is so much better for it. The whole process was really simple and the turnaround on feedback was quite quick – It certainly is a service I would recommend.
A Sensecheck review is just a 60-second first impression, more of a thought starter ( a “sensecheck”) than a complete piece of consultancy. Of course, you want to give value (and encourage a dialogue) but inevitably this isn’t a replacement for detailed considered advice.
Well, it may be a bit late in one sense, but on the other hand, if your comment stops them from running collateral that is “wrong” – even as a last-minute decision, you could save them a lot of money (and build your credibility). Then again, marketing never stops so even if it’s too late for this idea, it’s not too late for the next. Sometimes also members just want a bit of reassurance that their work is effective.
Undoubtedly yes. But that is very difficult and/or expensive in B2B; thus for our members you and your fellow reviewers are probably the next best thing. And for sure, better than just taking a pure guess from a perspective trapped inside the company bubble. 5 external views should give sufficient breadth to avoid a perspective that is just inappropriate. We are all business people after all.
Agency management or consultants with more than 5-10 years of business/marketing experience looking to start new conversations, and are willing to give regular feedback (at your convenience).
New conversations (at the behest of the recipient) and the opportunity to test any client ideas.
If you are chosen to be on the panel for a particular test, you will receive an email notification. The subject line is
as follows “The SenseCheck portal has selected you to review an idea.
You then click the START REVIEWING button and follow the simple prompts.
Our reviewers can be quick off the mark. Once we receive 5 reviews the system closes that test, and the report cannot be accessed. So thanks for responding but we very much hope you will try again next time.
We figured that it would be too much to email everyone on our large panel database every time that we get a test submitted to review, so the system is designed to send each new test to a smaller sub set of reviewers in batches, based on user criteria.
